Individual Note: BETTY FLORENCE POST Livingston Manor, N.Y. Betty Florence Post, of Livingston Manor, died Friday, June 6, 2003 at Horton Medical Center, in Middletown. She was 79. The daughter of Louis and Florence Lawrence Geleng, she was born on September 17, 1923 in Hackensack, N.J. She was the widow of Rodney Post. Survivors include one son, Richard Post and his wife, Susan, of Livingston Manor; one grandson, Richard Post of Rainelle, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Tracy Skaggs of Wallkill; and one great-grandson, Alden Michael Post. She was predeceased by two brother; and four sisters. Donations may be made to the Livingston Manor Fire Department, Main Street, Livingston Manor, or the Livingston Manor Ambulance Corp., Main Street, Livingston Manor. Arrangements are under the direction of Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, Livingston Manor.

Individual Note: Dorothy comes from a long line of English heritage. Her parents had Winifred and Kathleen in England before immigrating to the United States in 1921. They lived in up state New York in a town named Auburn where both Dorothy and her brother Sidney were born. In 1935 her family relocated to England for a short time (approx 1 Year) before returning to Auburn. She met James and invited him to a local barn dance. Shortly after they were married and settled in Auburn for many years. Dorothy worked for the Bell Telephone Company as an operator after moving to New York City where James excepted a position with Avery Fisher. Dorothy was a homemaker raising 5 children all of which were adopted, three from Ireland and two from the United States. Dorothy enjoyed various charity projects with the local churches, gardening and reading in her spare time at home.
